Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing‑Nursing is seeking a NICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Reno, NV. You will provide expert care to critically ill neonates, operate advanced NICU equipment, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

The role requires 1 year of NICU experience, valid RN license, BLS, and NRP certification. Travel benefits, competitive pay, and day-one insurance are included to support you on assignment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a neonatal intensive care RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill and premature newborns, documenting conditions and responses.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per neonatal nursing techniques.
• Perform neonatal assessments including vitals, weights, and screenings.
• Operate NICU equipment such as ventilators, CPAP, and infusion pumps.
• Assist with procedures (line placement, intubation) and diagnostics.
• Educate families on neonatal care and developmental support.
