Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a NICU travel assignment in Charlottesville, VA. This full-time, night-shift role demands NRP in-hand, VA RN license, BLS, and Epic EMR experience to provide specialized neonatal care.

Expect 3x12 hour nights, weekend requirements, and a generous housing allowance with travel reimbursements. You must meet all certifications and be available for the full assignment period.

Qualifications

• Active VA RN license or compact license.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP certification required in-hand at time of consideration.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding certification may be pending at time of consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Neonatal ICU (NICU) unit.
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00).
• 36 or 48 hours per scheduling period.
• Required to work 3 weekends within a 6-week scheduling period.
• Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays.
• Provide specialized nursing care to neonatal patients in the NICU.
• Up to 40 hours of requested time off can be approved during the assignment.
• Time off cannot be approved during the first two weeks of the assignment.
• Candidates must wait 12 months after a prior assignment before returning as a traveler.
