American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Registered Nurse for a NICU travel assignment in Colorado Springs. Requires 2+ years NICU experience and current NRP/BLS certifications, plus CO or compact RN license and Epic charting proficiency.

The role includes night shifts, 3x12s, 1:3 daytime ratio, weekend/on-call duties, and potential cross-facility floating in the South region. Local candidates receive local-rate benefits and comprehensive newborn care responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Active CO or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years NICU experience
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Experience with newborn care and discharge teaching
• Experience with large for gestational age and low birth weight newborns
• IV therapy experience (starting/maintaining IVs)
• Level I/II SCN experience

Responsibilities

• Night shift NICU, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
• Unit has 24 rooms with 1:3 patient ratio during days
• Charting in Epic
• Weekend coverage per unit needs (~12 shifts per contract)
• On-call responsibilities per unit needs
• Floating within scope, including to sister facilities in the South region
• Provide newborn and post-partum care including circumcision site assessment and parent discharge teaching
• Follow isolation PPE protocols and baby-friendly care practices
• Phlebotomy and vaccine administration as needed
• Completion of facility training modules within first week
