Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU – Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in McKinney, Texas. This role requires 1 year of acute care experience, BLS and NRP certifications, and a 13-week assignment with a 36-hour workweek on a night shift.

The NICU RN will deliver critical care to sick and premature infants, support families, monitor patients, and manage multiple lines and equipment. Travel nurses should be prepared for varied shifts and on-call needs.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience in acute care.
• BLS certification is required.
• NRP certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Care for sick and premature infants in NICU.
• Monitor vital signs and initiate corrective action as needed.
• Provide nutritional assessment and specialized feedings.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
• Provide arterial and intravenous therapy.
• Monitor equipment such as incubators and ventilators.
