Job summary

TotalMed RN in Crown Point, IN is seeking a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) travel nurse to join a 13-week assignment. The role features 12-hour night shifts and a 36-hour work week, with requirements including 1–2 years of acute care experience and NICU specialization.

The NICU RN will provide critical care to premature and sick newborns, monitor patients, adjust therapies, and support families during the hospital stay and transition home.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• NRP certification required.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting assignment.

Responsibilities

• Care for neonates and provide round-the-clock nursing care.
• Monitor vital signs and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Administer nutrition, medications, and IV therapy.
• Assist with procedures and manage equipment like incubators and ventilators.
• Support families and provide education for home care after discharge.
