Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Salem, Virginia. This assignment is a 13-week contract with 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift.

The ideal candidate holds a Virginia RN license and BLS/NRP certifications, with experience in neonatal IV placement and advanced care. You will provide high-level care to critically ill neonates and coordinate with the NICU team.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of Virginia.
• Certifications in BLS and NRP are mandatory.
• Experience with IV insertion in preterm or term infants.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill infants, including those requiring ventilation, CPAP, and other advanced support.
• Perform procedures such as intubation, umbilical line placement, surfactant administration, and needle decompression.
• Administer medications and nutrition via TPN and lipids as per protocol.
• Participate in newborn resuscitation efforts and ongoing assessments of patient health.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients and families.
