Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Charlottesville, Virginia. The position requires 1-2 years of acute care experience and involves a 13-week assignment with 48 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts.

The NICU RN will care for critically ill newborns and support families. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, nutritional assessment, dressing changes, IV starts, and operating NICU equipment.

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications required.
• 1-2 years' recent acute care experience.
• Travel NICU assignment in Charlottesville, VA.

Responsibilities

• Care for infants transitioning to extrauterine life.
• Monitor vital signs and initiate corrective action as needed.
• Provide nutritional assessment and specialized feedings.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
• Provide arterial and intravenous therapy.
• Monitor and adjust equipment such as incubators and ventilators.
