Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel NICU RN for a 13-week assignment in Canton, GA. You will provide expert care to critically ill newborns in a NICU, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and families to support healing and development.

This travel role requires RN licensure in GA, recent NICU experience, and current BLS and NRP certifications. Expect 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week, and a competitive benefits package with travel-friendly pay.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a neonatal intensive care RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill and premature newborns, documenting conditions and responses
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per neonatal nursing protocols
• Perform neonatal assessments including vitals, weight checks, and screenings
• Operate NICU equipment such as ventilators, CPAP, and infusion pumps
• Assist with life-saving and diagnostic procedures (e.g., umbilical line placement, intubation)
• Educate and support families on neonatal care and feeding techniques
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during exams and procedures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
• Adhere to infection control and hospital safety standards
• Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care in a regulated environment
• Contribute to continuous improvement and team communication
• Adhere to shifting schedules and department policies
