Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) travel nurse for a Springfield, Missouri assignment. The role requires RN licensure with NICU experience, BLS and NRP, and offers a 13‑week duration with a 36‑hour work week and 12‑hour night shifts.

Ideal candidates have 1‑2 years of acute care experience and are prepared to provide critical infant care, parental support, and collaborative care with the NICU team.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of acute care nursing experience.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• 13‑week travel assignment with 36 hours/week.
• 12‑hour night shifts in NICU.

Responsibilities

• Care for premature and ill newborns in NICU.
• Monitor vital signs and initiate corrective action.
• Provide specialized feedings and nutritional assessment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
• Operate incubators, ventilators and related equipment.
