Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a NICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Westwood, NJ. The role focuses on critical care newborns in a NICU, with rotation to 12-hour night shifts and a 36-hour work week.

Qualifications

One year of recent experience as a neonatal intensive care RN.
Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
Current NRP certification.

Responsibilities

Assess and monitor critically ill and premature neonates; document changes.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments per neonatal nursing techniques.
Perform neonatal assessments including vitals, weight, and screenings.
Operate advanced NICU equipment (ventilators, CPAP, pumps); ensure functionality.
Assist with life-saving procedures (umbilical line placement, intubation).
Educate families on neonatal care and developmental support.
Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols; ensure regulatory standards.
