Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU role at a Level I trauma teaching hospital in Albuquerque, NM. 2+ years NICU/PICU experience and RRT certification are required. The assignment runs 13 weeks with 36 hours per week, nights (3x12s). Travel position with strict unit requirements and Cerner charting.

Certification in BLS, ACLS, NRP is required; PALS preferred. NM RN license or pending license accepted. Christmas and holiday coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of NICU/PICU experience required.
• Certifications required: RRT, BLS, ACLS, NRP.
• PALS certification preferred.
• New Mexico RN license required if applicable; pending license accepted.
• HFJV/HFOV familiarity and ability to use related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide NICU respiratory care and ventilator management.
• Perform endotracheal suctioning, extubation, and airway care.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal airway care.
• Document care and collaborate with NICU team; maintain Cerner charting.
• Float to RRT Adults unit as needed; weekend shifts as required.
