Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a Level IV NICU travel assignment in Seattle, WA. The role requires 2+ years of NICU or mixed adult critical care/NICU experience, current RRT, BLS and NRP with ACLS/PALS preferred. Night shifts and 4x12s are typical, with 48 hours per week and no on-call requirements.

The assignment includes floating within the hospital, potential coverage on adult floors, and a focus on neonatal care in a teaching hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold RRT certification and Washington license where applicable.
• BLS and NRP certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred.
• 2+ years NICU or combined adult critical care/NICU experience; teaching hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care across Adult CCU, ED and NICU settings.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal transports.
• Perform chest physiotherapy and pulmonary hygiene; manage nebulizers/MDIs.
• Care for patients with ARDS, COVID, CF and pneumonia; administer medications.
• Ventilator management and airway troubleshooting, including BiPAP/CPAP and oscillators.
