We're looking for a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT) for an immediate travel position opening in Worcester, MA. The right Peds-RRT must have 1 year of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories. Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function and report malfunctions to director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patients being treated.
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.

Physical Requirements

Peds-RRTs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty, and lift up to 20 pounds (up to 50 pounds at times). They must have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
