Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN with Neurology specialization for a 13-week assignment in Peoria, Illinois. The role offers 36 hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts, in a fast-paced MedSurg environment serving neurology patients.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of recent acute care experience, BLS, and required certifications. You will conduct patient assessments, administer medications, change dressings and assist with discharge planning while supporting families and documenting

Qualifications

• RN with 1–2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.
• BLS and required certifications for travel assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op cases.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and assist with IV starts.
• Assist physician during examinations and treatments and educate patients and families.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
