Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is looking for a travel RN in Neuro ICU to cover an 18-bed unit in Peoria, IL. The role features 12-hour nights, 36 hours per week, and a 13-week travel contract with no on-call requirements.

Travelers float first across units as needed; the facility provides an orientation and supports Epic electronic medical records. Local candidates within 50 miles may have a reduced pay package.

Qualifications

• BLS (AHA) and ACLS.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification.
• Ventriculostomy care, ventilators, arterial lines, and central lines.
• tPA administration, acute stroke management, and post-craniectomy care.
• Ability to titrate ICU drips.

Responsibilities

• Join an 18-bed Neuro ICU caring for acute stroke, ventriculostomy, and post-craniectomy patients.
• Charge nurse each shift; may take an assignment depending on staffing.
• House supervisor available 24/7.
• Patient care tech support at a 1:9 ratio.
• Telemetry tech each shift; RNs interpret their own strips using Philips monitors.
