Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a network technician to support the Defense Enclave Services contract. You will survey, design, and deploy structured networks while maintaining security postures aligned to TEMPEST and NIST standards. Expect frequent travel and close coordination with government personnel.

You will lead site surveys, install and test network infrastructure, and produce detailed reports with BOMs and recommendations. A CSI environment and DISA standards familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 4+ years of relevant experience may substitute for degree.
• Knowledge of ANSI/TIA-568 and 569 standards.
• Experience with Protective Distribution Systems (PDS) for Classified Systems as directed by Security/CTTA.
• Familiarity with NTISSI 7003.
• Understanding of DISA network topologies and standards.
• Visio for topology and rack elevations.

Responsibilities

• Lead network survey, design, and installations under government direction.
• Conduct site surveys of customer premise networks in CONUS and OCONUS locations.
• Install, connect, and test network infrastructure equipment (switches, firewalls, routers, APs, controllers).
• Create detailed site survey reports with current infrastructure, NIST/TEMPEST compliance, and design recommendations.
• Configure and test network cabling; ensure compliance with NIST/TEMPEST standards.
• Plan preventive maintenance and life-cycle upgrades; track tasks to completion.
