Job summary

MISTRAS Group is seeking qualified NDT RT II or III Technicians for full-time travel across the Northeast, Southeast, and potentially other parts of the US. Candidates should have prior radiographic testing experience and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and technical excellence.

The RT Technician will set up RT equipment, interpret inspection results, maintain documentation, and perform inspections in industrial environments while complying with procedures and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Current Level II RT certification required.
• Previous industrial radiography experience required.
• State card and/or IRRSP certification preferred where applicable.
• Strong understanding of radiographic testing techniques and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in team environments.
• Travel extensively for full time and project-based work.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Radiographic Testing (RT) inspections in accordance with approved procedures and standards.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate RT equipment.
• Interpret radiographic images and evaluate indications.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports and documentation.
• Follow all radiation safety and company safety procedures.
• Maintain inspection equipment and records.
• Work closely with supervisors, customers, and project teams.
• Support outage, maintenance, fabrication, and inspection projects.
• Support additional NDT methods as needed.
• Work overtime, weekends, nights, and varying shifts as project demands require.

Preferred Requirements

• Graduated from a Non-Destructive Testing School
• Additional NDT certifications (UT, MT, PT, VT, PAUT) are a plus
• Experience in refinery, manufacturing, fabrication, aerospace, or industrial environments preferred
• Experience with CR/DR systems is a plus
