Job summary

Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Travel MS/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for the Night shift to join a float pool across four facilities. The position is a 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week and a bill rate of $85/hour.

Ideal candidates have MS/Telemetry RN experience, BLS and ACLS, and a minimum of 2 years' RN practice. The RN will float among Northwest Medical Center locations, delivering safe, evidence-based care and collaborating with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience.
• Recent MS/Telemetry experience.
• Strong telemetry assessment and clinical judgment.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be willing to float between four facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients.
• Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions and respond promptly to changes.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans using clinical judgment.
• Monitor telemetry and report significant rhythm changes.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team.
• Delegate and supervise patient care activities based on staff competency.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Maintain clinical competencies and participate in continuing education.
• Adapt quickly to different departments and facility environments within the float pool.
