Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist for a travel assignment in Columbus, OH. The position requires 1 year of MRI experience, BLS, and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification with MR registration. The role is 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week and night shifts, starting immediately.

The MRI Tech will perform imaging procedures, ensure patient safety, and support the radiology team. Prior PACS experience and licensing as required by state are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of MRI experience required.
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification with MR registration.
• BLS certification required.
• State licensing when required for the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and explain imaging procedures to patients.
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedures.
• Interpret doctors' instructions for imaging orders.
• Position patients and ensure safety during MRI scans.
• Assist radiologist during procedures.
• Start IVs and administer contrast per protocol.
• Assess MRI image quality and label scans correctly.
• Operate and load contrast injectors as needed.
• Follow safety procedures related to radiation and equipment.
• Maintain accurate patient records and use McKesson PACS.
