Qualifications

• Completion of a two year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Valid state radiology registration as required by state law.
• Eighteen months of MRI Tech experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.
• ARRT Registry in Radiologic Technology.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners safely to aid diagnosis.
• Ensure patient, staff and visitor safety around the magnetic field.
• Position patients and coils for scans.
• Administer contrast media as required.
• Set technical parameters and monitor image data during scans.
• Recognize abnormal vs. normal images.
• Respond to life-threatening situations promptly.
• Comply with applicable regulations and guidelines.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-focused care.
