Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare in Portland, OR, is seeking an MRI Technologist for a short-term travel assignment. You will operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images, calibrate systems, and coordinate patient care with radiology staff.

Requirements include an active RT MRI or ARRT-MR certification, at least two years of MRI experience, and BLS. The role entails night shifts and travel across assignments with a 13-week duration.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma from MRI program or an Associate’s degree in Radiology required.
• BLS certification required.
• Two years MRI experience minimum.
• Must travel and be able to work night shifts; ARRT credentials preferred

Responsibilities

• Produce MRI diagnostic images by operating MRI equipment per protocols and physician orders.
• Calibrate, operate and troubleshoot MRI equipment; ensure image quality and accuracy for diagnoses.
• Process and present images, findings, calculations and measurements to physicians as part of diagnostic reporting.
• Prepare, administer and monitor contrast media; adhere to safety and patient monitoring protocols.
• Obtain pertinent patient information and coordinate care with radiology and ancillary staff.
• Maintain compliance with regulations, standards and protocols; ensure patient safety and quality control.
• Perform additional duties to support imaging services
