Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift MRI Technologist with 1+ year of MRI experience and ARRT MR certification for an ER/Trauma focused imaging role.

The position requires Washington state license (compact preferred), BLS, and ability to work 3x12 hour nights (6:30 PM–7:00 AM). Travel between facilities within the system may be required; on-call not required. First-time travelers welcome; housing and reimbursements provided.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year MRI Technologist experience required.
  • ARRT MR and BLS certifications required.
  • Washington state license required (license required if applicable).
  • Compact license must be in hand at time of submission.
  • ER experience required.
  • Experience performing abdominal MRA, pelvis imaging, and MSK imaging required.
  • Skilled in isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, and peripheral IV starts.
  • Must provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

  • Works in the MRI Tech unit supporting ER/Trauma patient population.
  • Performs MRI procedures including abdomen/pelvis, head/neck/brain, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging.
  • Performs MR cardiac imaging with and without contrast.
  • Also performs X-ray procedures including extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, and upper/lower extremities.
  • Uses Siemens MRI equipment and Epic EMR.
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM on set consecutive nights.
  • No on-call requirements.
  • May be required to float between sister facilities within the system.
  • First-time travelers will be considered.
  • Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract.
  • Candidates must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
  • All requested time off must be submitted up front at time of consideration, as post-offer requests may not be granted.
  • Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
  • Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility, including dates and location, if applicable.
  • Pending license applications are accepted.
