Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment at an academic medical center in Rochester, MN. ARRT MR certification and BLS are required, with at least 2 years MRI experience.

You will perform Neuro, Abdominal, and MSK MRI studies on a 40-hour workweek with day or evening options. Epic charting is required and there is no on-call or overnight coverage. Travel and licensure reimbursements and a housing allowance are provided.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR certification is required.
• BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross) required.
• Graduate of an ARRT approved or recognized Health Science program.
• 2 years MRI experience as staff tech required; 3 travel assignments may substitute.
• Epic charting experience required.
• License required if applicable.
• Must be organized, efficient, and able to multitask.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assignment within an MRI Neuro clinic at an academic medical center.
• Performs Neuro, Abdominal, and MSK MRI studies.
• Monday-Friday schedule, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
• Day shift options of 6:30AM-3PM or 8:30AM-5PM, or Evening shift 2PM-10:30PM.
• No rotation between Day and Evening shifts.
• No call, no overnights, no holiday coverage required.
• Uses Epic for charting.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images meeting departmental standards.
• Requires competence with a variety of MRI equipment and technology.
• Practices safety guidelines for self, staff, and patients.
• Fosters teamwork through effective communication.
• Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times, and lengths.
• COVID vaccination and booster required for eligibility.
• Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment due to low census.
• Travelers may remain on assignment up to one year from initial start date, followed by a required break before starting a new assignment.
