Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a 13-week evening shift assignment in Gainesville, FL. The role requires 2+ years of hospital MRI experience and Siemens platform expertise, with ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification and BLS.

UF/LE license criteria apply if required, and local candidates within 50 miles are preferred. The technologist will float to Gainesville MRI locations, perform diagnostic MRI procedures, and support a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years MRI experience in a hospital setting with critically ill patients.
• Siemens MRI experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI for critically ill patients in a hospital setting.
• Work 8-hour evening shifts (2:00 PM–10:30 PM), Monday–Friday.
• Provide 40 hours per week over a 13-week assignment.
• Float to all Gainesville MRI locations on campus.
• Use Siemens XA and B platforms (Avanto, Verio, Prisma, Aera, Sola) for diagnostic procedures.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of hospital MRI experience and Siemens platform expertise for a 13-week evening shift assignment.

Requirements

• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• BLS required
• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience required, including hospital setting with critically ill patients
• Siemens MRI experience required
• No 180+ day non-clinical employment gaps, and no unexplained work history gaps greater than 30 days
• FL license required if applicable
• Closed-toe, non-permeable shoes required

Responsibilities

• Hospital setting MRI unit serving critically ill patients
• 8-hour evening shifts, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday block schedule
• 40 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
• Float required to all Gainesville MRI locations on campus
• Uses Siemens MRI equipment including XA and B platforms (Avanto, Verio, Prisma, Aera, Sola)
• Perform diagnostic and treatment MRI procedures in a fast-paced environment
• Work collaboratively to complete all ordered MRI exams
• Unit Manager interview required as part of the hiring process
• Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius or accept the local rate
• Local candidates accepted
• No RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment; maximum of 8 days RTO allowed over the 13-week contract
• Seasonal influenza vaccination required, with medical exemptions considered for the 2025–2026 season
