Job summary

The Good Life MedStaff is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Rochester, New York. The role requires preparing patients, operating MRI scanners, and ensuring image quality and patient safety in a fast-paced radiology department.

Responsibilities include screening for contraindications, positioning patients, administering contrast when needed, and maintaining records. Requires ARRT MRI cert, BLS, and an accredited MRI training program.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
• Completion of an accredited MRI technologist training program.
• ARRT MRI certification or equivalent (ARMRIT) required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Screen patients for contraindications to MRI procedures.
• Explain procedures and address patient questions to ensure comfort.
• Position patients and use immobilization devices as needed.
• Administer contrast materials and monitor patient response.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging histories.
• Ensure safety standards and monitor MRI equipment performance.

Education

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field

Completion of an accredited MRI technologist training program

Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI or equivalent (e.g., ARMRIT)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
