Qualifications

• Completion of a two year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Valid state radiology registration as required by state law.
• Eighteen months of MRI Tech experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.
• Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate MRI scanners to aid diagnosis.
• Ensure safety of patients, staff and visitors in the MRI environment.
• Position patients and coils for imaging on the table.
• Inject contrast media as required.
• Set technical parameters, operate scanners and monitor image data.
• Be familiar with differences between normal and abnormal images and respond to emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and guidelines.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-focused care with a safe work environment.
