TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The role offers a travel-friendly pay package based on 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend to be determined and weekly compensation arrangements.

This is a travel position with immediate start and ongoing support from TotalMed Allied. The MRI Tech will work evenings, perform safe imaging procedures, adhere to ARRT/ARMRIT requirements, maintain patient records, and assist

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of MRI experience.
• BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging, and state-specific licensing when required.

Responsabilités

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required.
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff
• Assist radiologist with procedure performance
• Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label appropriately
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging, and state-specific licensing when required.

MRI Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
