American Traveler is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Columbus, Ohio. Qualifications

• License required if applicable.
• IV start experience strongly preferred.
• Cardiac imaging experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform neuro, MSK, and abdominal MRI scans with Siemens scanners.
• Specialty exams including breast, enterography, and pacemaker patients.
• No cardiac, prostate, CSF flow studies, or certain extremities tasks.
• ICU patient imaging with MRI-safe ventilation and monitoring.
• Use Epic EMR for documentation.
• Work 3x12 hour days; 36 hours/week; 7:30 AM–7:30 PM.
• Travelers float within the department; weekend/holiday coverage as assigned.
• On-call: 3 weekday day shifts per month and 1 weekend every 12 weeks.

Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience and Siemens scanner proficiency for a day-shift role in a busy imaging department.

Details

• MRI unit with two 1.5T Siemens Aera scanners
• Performs neuro, MSK, and abdominal scans, plus specialty exams including breast, enterography, and pacemaker patients
• Does not perform cardiac, prostate, CSF flow studies, MSA extremities, or conscious sedation
• Regularly scans ICU patients using MRI-safe ventilator, IVAC, and monitoring equipment
• Uses Epic EMR
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM
• Works every 3rd weekend and holidays as assigned
• Call requirements include 3 weekday day shifts per month and 1 weekend call every 12 weeks
• Travelers are first to float within the department

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience (candidates with 1.5 years from a Level I or large hospital may be considered)
• ARRT or NMTCB certification required
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Siemens scanners required
• Cardiac imaging experience is a plus
• Experience with IV starts strongly preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Trauma Level I, teaching hospital, and community hospital experience preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Charcoal grey scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment
• Maximum of 10 days RTO per contract; no RTO allowed during initial weeks of assignment
• More than one call-off may result in termination; no call/no show results in immediate termination
• Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
• First-time travelers may be considered with strong relevant experience
• Previous OhioHealth employees must have a 366-day separation before returning as a traveler
