Job Summary

MRI Technologist MRI. Performs magnetic resonance imaging procedures under established protocols and the medical supervision of radiologists. Provides age-appropriate patient care, supports diagnostic image quality, assists with clinical education, and promotes safe, efficient imaging operations.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift; Friday 8:00 a.m.8:30 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday 7:30 a.m.8:00 p.m.; 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider card
  • Graduation from an accredited school of allied health professionals
  • Ability to perform and teach MRI examinations that produce satisfactory diagnostic images
  • Ability to safely operate MRI and post-processing equipment
  • Knowledge of radiation protection and radiation safety practices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cross-sectional anatomy experience
  • MRI experience
• Additional Information:
  • Provides patient preparation, procedure instructions, informed consent support, and discharge communication.
  • Verifies written orders, diagnoses, and clinical histories before procedures.
  • Assists radiologists and other imaging team members as needed.
  • May supervise and support the clinical education of student MRI Technologists.
  • Maintains confidentiality of work-related information and demonstrates professional conduct.
  • May be required to take call or work weekends and holidays based on departmental needs.
  • The role involves frequent standing, walking, patient movement, and use of hand dexterity.
  • The role includes potential exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, radiation, and other conditions common to a healthcare environment.
