Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of recent, continuous MRI Technologist experience (twenty (20) hours or more per week) and full proficiency in MRI Technologist II duties
• Licensed in the required state
• BLS certification
• Proficient in MRI protocols for complex procedures
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to present information to individuals and small groups
• Ability to learn new applications relevant to the position
• Two (2) years of hospital clinical experience; EP preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce cross‑sectional images for diagnostic purposes
• Perform technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality, under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and Imaging Services Director, while exercising independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative
• Conduct patient studies per protocol, including placing specified coils
• Operate imaging equipment and related devices, entering scan sequences, adjusting transmitters/receivers, and keying data
• Interview patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and exhibit tact and courtesy
• Ensure patient and staff safety, explain safety protocols, request removal of hazardous metal, monitor patients via closed‑circuit TV, and alert staff of dangers
• Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees
