Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Kansas City, Missouri. The role requires 1 year of MRI experience, BLS, and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification with appropriate licensing. Expect alternating 12-hour days, 36 hours per week, and travel support.

Responsibilities include patient prep, safety screening, positioning, image quality checks, contrast administration, and PACS utilization. Benefits and travel stipend details may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of MRI tech experience.
• Must hold BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT with registration for MRI.
• State-specific licensing if required.
• Candidates should be able to stand for long periods and handle exam setups.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and review imaging requests.
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedures.
• Interpret orders from radiologists and explain procedures to patients.
• Position patients and operate MRI equipment per safety regulations.
• Assist radiologists during procedures.
• Start IVs and administer contrast as directed.
• Evaluate image quality and label sequences.
• Load and operate contrast injectors as needed.
• Follow radiation safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and use PACS system.
