Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Montgomery, Alabama. Start date 09/28/2026; 40 hours per week on 10-hour days; travel role requiring 1 year of MRI experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification with registration.

You will operate MRI equipment, prep patients, ensure safety, and collaborate with radiologists. The pay package includes a tax-free stipend and may vary; weekly hours are 40.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of MRI experience.
• Current ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification with registration.
• BLS certification and state licensing as required.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required.
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance.
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions.
• Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Assist radiologist with procedure performance.
• Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol.
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label appropriately.
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
