Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a travel assignment in Foley, Alabama. The position requires 1 year of MRI experience, BLS, and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification along with state licensing when required.

Responsibilities include operating MRI equipment, ensuring image accuracy, and preparing patients for imaging. The role offers a 12-week assignment with 40 hours per week scheduled in daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• 1 year of MRI experience required.
• BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required.
• State licensing as required.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required.
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance.
• Interpret doctors' written instructions.
• Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to ensure safety.
• Assist radiologist with procedure performance.
• Start IVs and administer contrast media per protocol.
• Evaluate MRI scans for quality and label appropriately.
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
