We're looking for a Travel MRI Tech, working in the Healthcare Systems and Services industry in North Carolina, United States.

Role:

The successful candidate will function as an MRI Technologist, performing examinations of patients of all ages to assist in diagnosing illnesses.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform MRI diagnostic imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions according to department procedures and protocols.
2. Locate and record internal elements of the body, identifying anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other conditions.
3. Adjust equipment and calm patients to eliminate test artifacts.
4. Monitor patients for potentially dangerous physical and emotional changes.
5. Evaluate test results for clarity and accuracy.
6. Review tests with peers and physicians.
7. Inform physicians of preliminary findings as requested.
8. Distribute completed test results to physicians and service providers.
9. Prepare diagnostic information for physician interpretation.
10. Maintain patient charts, enter diagnosis and billing codes, log data into patient information systems, and update test files.
11. Clean and sterilize equipment and workspace.
12. Recognize equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
13. Instruct patients in pretest preparation, answer questions, and explain procedures.
14. Comply with Siemens, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
15. Maintain equipment according to Infection Control procedures.
16. Maintain technical competency through continued education and Siemens training programs.
17. Administer contrast agents under guidance and approval of site Radiologist, following site-specific protocols.
18. Maintain current Permits to Practice in all states where services are performed.
19. Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot problems, calling for service when needed.
20. Follow quality assurance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
21. Perform additional duties as required.
