Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Columbus, OH. This role offers 40 hours per week with evenings shifts, providing an opportunity to work with a dedicated clinical team and gain exposure to a travel-friendly environment.

You will operate MRI scanners, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with radiologists to deliver high-quality imaging results while maintaining strict infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Radiology program with MRI specialization.
• One year of experience as MRI Tech.
• Current Radiology/MRI license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications prior to procedure, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Educate patients on MRI procedure and answer questions.
• Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot MRI equipment to ensure proper functionality and report malfunctions.
• Start IVs and administer contrast media per orders and protocol, monitoring patients for adverse reactions.
• Monitor image quality during procedures and adjust scanning parameters for optimal results.
• Document all procedure details, including imaging parameters and patient observations, in compliance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to ensure accurate diagnostic imaging and timely delivery of results.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace in accordance with infection control and hospital policies.
• Follow hospital safety rules, infection control, and radiation safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of an MRI Technologist
