Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling MRI Technologist to join our assignment in Columbus, Ohio. The role requires an MRI Technologist with current licensure, BLS, and at least two years of recent experience working in MRI, including complex procedures.

Qualifications

• Two years of continuous recent experience as an MRI Technologist (≥20 hours/week) and proficiency in MRI Technologist II duties.
• Licensed in the required state.
• BLS certification.
• Proficiency in MRI with knowledge of required protocols for complex MRI procedures.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Follow protocol and director guidance to ensure quality and safety.
• Position patients and select coils for optimal imaging.
• Operate imaging equipment and input scan parameters accurately.
• Explain procedures to patients with tact and clarity.
• Ensure patient and staff safety and enforce safety protocols.
• Orient and train new MRI staff or students.
