Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience to provide diagnostic imaging services in a hospital setting.

Details

• Hospital-based MRI Tech position within the Radiology/Cardiology department
• 3x12 hour day shifts scheduled either 6:00 AM-6:30 PM or 8:00 AM-8:30 PM during the week
• One weekend shift every third week, 6:00 AM-6:30 PM, with on-call coverage until 9:00 PM
• Adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, ER/trauma, and pediatric acute care settings
• Performs MRI studies of the abdomen, pelvis, head, neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal system
• Performs cardiovascular MRI including cardiac, aortogram, and pulmonary studies
• Utilizes Siemens MRI equipment
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Candidates must be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required
• ARRT (R) and BLS certification required; ARRT (MR) preferred
• License required if applicable
• Experience with 1:1 patient ratios
• Skilled in contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, and peripheral IV starts
• Cerner charting system experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform a wide range of MRI procedures including abdominal, pelvic, neurological, cardiac, and musculoskeletal imaging
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols as required
• Candidates must be available to work every other holiday
• Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers
• Travel pairs may be considered based on facility need, though the same schedule cannot be guaranteed
