Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel MRI Technologist in Lancaster, PA. 13-week assignment, 40 hours weekly, evenings shift. 1 year of MRI experience required; BLS and MR certifications with state licensure as needed. Travel role prioritizes safety, accurate imaging, and patient care.

The MRI Tech will prepare patients, interpret orders, and collaborate with radiologists while ensuring high-quality images and compliance with protocols.

Qualifications

• 1 year of MRI experience required.
• BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification with registration.
• State licensing may be required where applicable.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity, review requests and explain procedures.
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedures.
• Interpret doctors' instructions for imaging.
• Position patients and ensure safety during scans.
• Assist radiologist with procedures and protocols.
• Start IVs and inject contrast as directed.
• Evaluate image quality and label exams correctly.
• Operate power injectors for contrast media.
• Follow radiation safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Use McKesson PACS system proficiently.
