Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Supervisor/Technologist with 8+ years of MRI experience and supervisory background to lead multi-campus imaging operations.

The role oversees five scanners across four campuses, coordinates ~30 FTEs, and performs a broad MRI exam range including interventional procedures. Day shift, Monday–Friday, with regional travel and onboarding responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of MRI experience required.
• Supervisor or charge-level leadership experience required.
• CA state license required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a multi-site MRI program across five scanners at four campuses.
• Coordinate approximately 30 FTEs with staffing coverage spanning 5:30 AM to midnight.
• Provide hands-on clinical MRI scanning support during staffing shortages, call-offs, or vacations.
• Utilize GE HealthCare MRI platforms across multiple software versions.
• Perform MRI exams including neuro, cardiac, body, musculoskeletal, breast, pelvic, and prostate imaging; MRI-guided biopsies and interventions.
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (5x8 hours).
• Requires floating across multiple campuses with daily shuttle transportation available.
• Responsible for daily operational oversight, staffing coordination, and schedule management across multiple MRI sites.
• Leads employee coaching, onboarding, and performance management.
• Collaborates with radiologists, nursing, anesthesia, and operational leadership to optimize patient flow and scanner utilization.
• Ensures MRI safety compliance and monitors quality metrics and patient experience.
• Identifies and implements workflow improvement initiatives across the MRI program.
• Accepts local candidates at the local rate; 50-mile radius rule applies.
• Returning travelers accepted with no required separation time, though former manager's name must be provided on application.
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract.
