Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN MICU for a travel nursing job in Salem, Virginia. The RN will provide skilled care in a Medical ICU setting, monitor critically ill patients, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include an active RN license, accredited nursing degree, BLS & ACLS certifications, and 18 months of recent Acute Care ICU experience. Travel benefits and competitive compensation are offered.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care and education to patients and families.
Ensure proper functioning of life-support equipment including ventilators and feeding tubes.
Monitor heart rate, blood pressure and respiration for signs of distress.
Administer medications, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
Assist in emergency nursing procedures for changes in patient condition.
Perform CPR accurately and effectively.
