Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography for a travel job in Bozeman, Montana. The Ultrasound Technologist will perform specialist ultrasound procedures and support radiologists in a 13-week assignment.

Requirements include 1 year of ultrasound experience, BLS, ARDMS RDMS FE and OB/GYN, and state licensing where required. This role offers 36 hours/week, 9-hour days, and a tax-free stipend as applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of ultrasound experience; ARDMS national certification; BLS; state licensing when required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• Additional ARDMS certifications may be required before starting an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families regarding procedures performed.
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe areas of concern.
• Prepare exam room and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and biopsies.
• Report abnormalities to medical staff for immediate attention.
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure.
• Conduct scans and write reports based on results.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

We are looking for an Ultrasound Technologist (US Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Bozeman, MT. The right US Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a US Tech, you will be responsible for the use of the ultrasound machine and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. US Techs are also responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing ultrasound testing.

Tasks

As a US Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies
• Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARDMS National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

US Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. US Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
