Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography position in Yuma, AZ. This 13-week assignment requires 40 hours per week with 8-hour days.

The Ultrasound Technologist will perform exams, assist radiologists, and ensure accurate imaging while maintaining patient records and equipment. BLS and ARDMS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience.
• BLS, ARDMS certification, and state licensing as required.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and knowledge of anatomy.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families about procedures.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and capture quality images.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist radiologists with ultrasound procedures and biopsies.
• Report abnormalities to medical staff.

We are looking for an Ultrasound Technologist (US Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Yuma, AZ. The right US Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a US Tech, you will be responsible for the use of the ultrasound machine and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. US Techs are also responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing ultrasound testing.

Tasks

As a US Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies
• Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARDMS National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

US Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. US Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Requirements*: BLS, ARDMS, ARDMS (RDMS OB/GYN), 2 Years * Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
