Job summary

McClatchy Media Company is seeking a part-time, on-site Merchandiser to service products in multiple stores across the Roanoke area. Travel between accounts is required and compensation starts at a competitive wage.

The role includes performing merchandising tasks, maintaining professional conduct, and adhering to attendance policies. Scheduling is set with designated weekdays for store visits; background check, 4‑panel drug test (THC excluded), and MVR clearance are required before employment.

Qualifications

• General merchandising experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to multitask and stay detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform 100% merchandising in assigned stores per plan.
• Service stores on scheduled weekdays; obtain approval before overtime.
• Record work hours and hours worked using designated apps.
• Maintain professional conduct and adherence to attendance policy.
• Develop relationships with store personnel and communicate with Supervisor.
