Job summary

McClatchy Media Company in Colonial Heights, VA is seeking a part-time merchandiser to service products in multiple stores with travel between accounts. This on-site, non-exempt role reports to the Supervisor of Merchandising and requires driving to various locations within the territory.

Compensation starts at $15 per hour and includes travel time. Schedule follows assigned weekday stores; travel may be up to 100% of the time. Employment contingent on background check and MVR clearance.

Qualifications

• General merchandising experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Able to multitask and maintain attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation for travel and adherence to attendance policy.
• Proficient with Movista, Word, internet and email applications.

Responsibilities

• 100% Merchandising: service stores to planograms and replenish products.
• Follow scheduled hours and obtain approval from Supervisor for overtime or extended hours.
• Record work hours and related information using designated applications.
• Communicate with store personnel and Supervisor about duties and any changes.
