Job summary

McClatchy Media Company in Hayes, VA is seeking a part-time, on-site Merchandiser to service products across multiple stores and travel between accounts. The role includes a designated weekday schedule and a competitive wage that covers travel time.

You will report to the Supervisor of Merchandising and must be able to travel up to 100% of the time. A background check and drug test are part of the employment process.

Qualifications

• General merchandising experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to multitask and detail-oriented.
• Conduct self in a professional manner.
• Adherence to the company’s attendance policy.
• Reliable transportation for travel.
• Able to use Movista and/or other company-required applications.
• Have personal cell phone and mobile device, such as a tablet.
• Proficient with Word, the internet, and email applications.

Responsibilities

• Work within a retail environment to effectively merchandise products by applying store standards. Replenish product and may assemble shelves or displays.
• Service all stores as scheduled within the hours set by the Supervisor, Merchandising.
• Contact Supervisor before overtime or working beyond 10 hours in a day.
• Accurately record work hours using designated applications.
• Discuss duties with Supervisor before performing unlisted tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
