Job summary

Gifted Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to plan and manage patient care. The LPN will act as the eyes and ears of Registered Nurses and Physicians, performing ongoing assessments of vital signs.

Responsibilities include administering medications, supervising nursing assistants, addressing care-plan issues, and managing IV lines. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Location: Dothan, AL.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current licensure.
• Ability to monitor vital signs and contribute to care plans.
• Experience supervising nursing assistants or leading a care team.
• Proficient in administering medications, dressings, IV medications and fluids.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage patient care for assigned patients.
• Monitor and document vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and dressing changes as prescribed.
• Supervise nursing assistants and coordinate the nursing team.
• Address patient concerns within the care plan and communicate with RN/Physician.

Job description

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) plan and manage patient care specific to each patient. The LPN acts as the eyes and ears of Registered Nurses and Physicians and performs ongoing and accurate assessments of vital signs. LPN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• LPNs administer and monitor patient medications and dressing changes.
• Supervise nursing assistants and act as the leader of a group of nurses.
• Find, address, and provide solutions for any problems a specific patient might have in terms of their care plan.
• Administer intravenous medication and fluids and care for those intravenous lines in patients. Shift: 3x12 Nights
