Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, testing and specimen handling.
• Active certification through ASCP, AMT, or AAB.
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the specialty.
• Must be a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist; MLTs not considered.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing accurately and according to procedures.
• Analyze and report test results while maintaining quality standards.
• Prepare, process and evaluate patient specimens.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Perform quality control and troubleshoot testing issues as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records.
