The ideal candidate will hold ASCP certification, MT credential, and have 2–5 years of experience, including Blood Bank and Cerner/MedHost EMR familiarity. Travel readiness and flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• ASCP Certification required.
• Medical Technologist (MT) credential required; MLT not accepted.
• Blood Bank, Hematology, and Advanced Chemistry experience required.
• Minimum 2 years laboratory experience; 5 years preferred.
• Experience with Cerner and MedHost EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex laboratory testing and analysis.
• Work in Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology departments.
• Ensure accurate specimen processing and reporting.
• Maintain quality control and laboratory standards.
• Float to other lab areas as needed.
• Support night shift hospital laboratory operations.

Travel Medical Technologist (ASCP) – Nights (Urgent Opening)

Location: Victoria, TX
Department: Laboratory / Medical Technologist

Start Date: ASAP (Projected: 06/15/2026)

Schedule: 7 on / 7 off

Shift:

Weekdays: 9:00pm – 7:00am

No Call

Floating Required

No Block Scheduling

No 48-hour guarantees

Required Credentials

ASCP Certification required (or equivalent)

Medical Technologist (MT) required

MLT candidates will NOT be accepted

Blood Bank experience required

Advanced Chemistry experience required

Hematology experience required

Minimum 2 years experience required

5 years preferred

BLS preferred

Experience with Cerner preferred

Experience with Medhost preferred

EMR Systems

Medhost (transitioning to Cerner)

Blood Bank uses Cerner

Dress Code

Any scrub color except teal
