Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on a high-acuity Med Surg Telemetry unit.
• Monitor telemetry equipment and respond to nursing needs.
• Work night shifts: 8-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week.
• Collaborate with CNA, HUCs, charge nurse, phlebotomy, pharmacists and case managers.
• Float to multiple Pineville, Anson, Union facilities within the region as needed.

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurse position in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role involves providing patient care on a high-acuity medical-surgical unit with telemetry monitoring. The assignment begins on 10/19/2026 and concludes on 01/16/2027, with a schedule of night shifts and a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, 18 months of Medical Surgical/Telemetry RN experience, located within 50 miles of the facility, willing to float across multiple facilities within the region, start date 10/19/2026, end date 01/16/2027
• Preferred Qualifications: Oncology certification (not required but preferred)
• Support within the Department: CNA (patient care, vitals, mobility), receptionists/HUCs, charge nurse, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, pharmacist, case managers, clinical nurse specialist, RT performing nebulizer treatments, nurse educator, hospitalist, telemetry monitoring/tech
• Technology/Equipment: EMR: EPIC, IV pumps: Alaris, Med dispensing: Omnicell, monitors: Phillips, Rover communication, Hoyer lifts
• Additional Information: The unit is a newly established Medical Surgical Telemetry unit that opened in January 2025. It offers a welcoming and psychologically safe culture. Travelers may be required to float to multiple facilities within the region, including Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, and the Central Division. There is no requirement for chemo certification; patients include medical diagnoses such as ESRD, CHF, Pneumonia, Sickle Cell Crisis, Diabetes, and more.
