American Traveler is seeking a traveling RN for Med/Surg in Bismarck, ND. The role features a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on day shifts, 12-hour shifts, and a focus on post-surgical care on a Level II unit.

You will work EPIC EMR on a busy unit with a supportive team, adherence to safety standards, and opportunities for travel-related benefits and bonuses.

Competenze

• Active ND RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Surgical/post-op or early ambulation experience preferred

Mansioni

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a busy post-surgical floor with a Level II trauma designation and EPIC charting.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital setting on a 30-bed Med/Surg unit
• Patient population includes total joint replacement, spinal surgery, urologic procedures, abdominal surgeries, bariatrics, medical overflow, and frequent post-surgical drains
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, with every other weekend required
• Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights
• First to float to medical and telemetry units as needed
• Occasional management of heparin drips, PCA pumps, and TPN
• EPIC EMR is used on the unit
• Charge nurse present each shift; nurse assistants available with a 1:12 ratio
• Remote telemetry monitored by dedicated monitor techs
• No strip reading required by RN
• Bedside shift report is standard practice on this unit
• Strong, collaborative unit culture and supportive team environment
• Orientation includes 12 hours of training
• Flexible scrub color policy allows any color scrubs
• Holiday shifts required as needed based on unit needs
• RTO (up to 7 days) must be requested up front; additional RTO is not permitted
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Applicants must not be currently or recently employed (within one year) by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities in any capacity except through outside firms

Requirements

• Active ND or compact RN license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Surgical, post-op, or early ambulation experience preferred
• Profile must include two professional references-one recent supervisor reference from the last 12 months and another peer or supervisor reference from the last 3 years
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
